Oculus Rift and The Virtual Reality
"Nobody has showed me anything better than this," Zuckerberg said, when he held the freshly unboxed Oculus headset.
The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset created and produced by Oculus VR, released on 28th March, 2016, making it the first to kickstart consumer-targeted virtual reality headsets . Oculus VR, that released the Rift for playing ultra-immersive video games had been bought by Facebook for $2 billion.
The critical thing that sets it apart is the fact that when we play a game on our PC or XBOX we try to hallucinate as we are there, inside the game but with Oculus rift we don’t need to try feel the same as we are ‘already’ there. Thus, nothing can beat up the real time experience of an Oculus Rift.
30 games are in the menu of the first release of Oculus Rift. The below list of games will work on the Rift's included Xbox One controller. Some of these suit to work with small Oculus Remote also.

I personally adore shooting games and candidly never seen anything like, say for example, EVE Gunjack. OMG what an out of the world game that is!!!
Step into the boots of a gunjack, a lone gunner with an impossible job: shoot everything that moves. Jack into your turret, power up your guns, and defend your mining platform from deadly waves of enemy ships determined to blast you and your crew into oblivion. Stage your defense from the comfort of your favorite gaming den with an Oculus Rift. Welcome to the future of VR gaming, Gunjack.
What is Virtual reality?
Fooling your senses into seeing something that’s not there. Making the unreal real. Imagine standing on the ledge of a 100-story building. Imagine looking down at the street below you. Imagine the tightening of your stomach and the sense of dread that you might, at any second, fall to your demise.
Now imagine taking one step forward.
You're falling and the world is whipping before you. You're petrified. But you also feel alive. The second right before you hit the ground is the worst - your brain is actually prepared for the moment by dumping adrenaline into your system as a mild painkiller.
But while all this is happening, you haven't actually moved. You've been sitting in a chair in your own home, staring into a screen. Your biometrics have changed, but, geographically speaking, you're exactly where you were 10 minutes ago.
A short clip below on how it feels :
There has been an increase in interest in the potential social impact of virtual reality. Mychilo S. Cline, in his book Power, Madness, and Immortality: The Future of Virtual Reality, argues that virtual reality will lead to a number of important changes in human life and activity. He argues that virtual reality will be integrated into daily life and activity, and will be used in various human ways. Another such speculation has been written up on how to reach ultimate happiness via virtual reality.
He also argues that techniques will be developed to influence human behavior, interpersonal communication, and cognition. As we spend more and more time in virtual space, there would be a gradual "migration to virtual space", resulting in important changes in economics, worldview, and culture.
Anyways, Oculus is making it possible to experience anything, anywhere, through the power of virtual reality and it is too soon to worry about such things as it has just launched and now is the time to play!
